Disabilities & Mental Health

KHSA's Disabilities and Mental Health Section focuses on supports for the mental health of children and families, including social and emotional wellbeing, building emotional capacity and preparing for entry into elementary school; and focuses on effective teaching for all children in order to access, participate, and thrive in early learning settings and focuses on Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Likewise, the Section focuses on the continued well-being and mental health needs of Head Start staff.
